Costa Rica’s Envision Festival has announced the musical lineup for 2019, and it’s clear from their bookings the festival plans refine even the purest form of “Pura Vida.”
Since its inception nine years ago, the ocean-adjacent jungle paradise has steadily upped its game. By creating stages and structures inspired by and made in the local Tico way and hosting a reforesting program which has planted more than 12,000 trees in the past seven years, Envision has constantly challenged the status quo, both in relation to music and community. Through hard work and positivity, the festival has built a committed fan base. It’s clear the organizers have no plans on letting them down.
The music and arts festival’s tide is set to draw in some of the most eclectic underground and hard-hitting acts from around the globe. San Francisco’s Tycho will serve silky sweet psychedelic ambiance. Denver’s GRiZ will be Chasing the Golden Hour, Hawaii’s troubadour Trevor Hall will surely serenade many back tent-side, and as the sun goes down and the stars come out, the music and the loving won’t come to a halt.
Envision plans to deliver the sounds of Burning Man, with Robot Heart and All Day I Dream leader Lee Burridge alongside latin house master Nicola Cruz. A fan favorite and France’s greatest export of bass blasting tunes CloZee will be making her fourth appearance tucked under the jungle shade of Uvita. This is truly a festival with a focused intention: to educate, entertain, and awaken higher consciousness all in an organic fashion. Join the natural harmony, flame spinning, ocean waves, and incredible music from February 28 to March 3 — even the howler monkeys will be getting down.
Costa Rica’s rising tropical festival, Envision, is just weeks away. In its eighth year, the festival continues its mission to awaken human potential with art, spirituality, yoga, music, dance, performance, education, sustainability and fundamental connection with nature.
From Feb. 21-25, thousands will flock to Uvita to experience a stellar lineup of music, which has been announced in full. In addition to headliners Xavier Rudd, Bob Moses, DJ Tennis and more who were announced in August, Envision has revealed the addition of acts like TroyBoi and The Russ Liquid Test to the lineup.
“We really wanted to bring in best in breed artists from every corner of the globe,” says festival co-founder and music director Josh Wendel. “But we also wanted to create a platform for some of the best emerging talent in Costa Rica and its neighbors. In addition to being our most intentional lineup yet, the artists we’ve got coming for Envision 2018 are both world famous and driven to achieve the same impact we want to make in the world. Through language and culture we’re united by the dream we share, and that just makes the experience of coming together on the same dancefloor so much more special.”
Though Envision 2018 is already 70 percent sold out, four-day general admission tickets can still be purchased here.
Founded in 2011, Envision Festival is about to embark on its 7th year with another one-of-a-kind celebration of mind, body, and soul.
Envision is arguably the world’s leader in transformative experience, and on February 23rd, over 50 cultures from around the world will come together in the rainforest nature preserve of Rancho La Merced, just outside of Uvita. The surreal setting offers attendees the chance to dive into immersive art projects and movement temples, along with various sanctuaries including four stages and a vast array of musical acts. With the festival’s beach access, collaborative workshops, and incomparable sustainability, combined with yoga, and expanded tour offerings, Envision is truly an unparalleled event that truly embodies the their motto, “Vive La Experiencia.”
Of course, Envision draws some of the world’s most impressive talent to complement the entire celebration. This year, South Africa’s Goldfish will be headlining the talent roster, along with Rising Appalachia, Autograf, and Opiuo. Additionally, Clozee, Papadosio, Nicola Cruz, Govinda, and more will be topping off the list of talent for 2017.
