Dimension – Black Church (Original Mix)

This post was originally published on this site

British producer Dimension has returned in style. Buoyed by the success of his fantastic drum & bass edit of Eric Prydz’s “Generate,” the veteran D&B maestro has just dropped a new single, titled “Black Church.”

Characterized by a stark, string plucked chord progressions and healthy helpings of bass, Dimension goes out of his way to give the track a definite air of defiance and a good dose of infectious energy — a fact that is further emphasized by the powerful female vocals, which add an extra level of intrigue to the track’s unique personality.

“Black Church” is definitely one of Dimension’s more interesting tracks, and would be perfectly suited to a high octane gym setting.

Selena Gomez taps Marshmello for track on upcoming album

This post was originally published on this site

Selena Gomez has an upcoming album and, after her hit collaboration “It Ain’t Me” with Kygo, it was only a matter of time before she chose to collaborate with another electronic music great. The singer recently confirmed that she has tapped Marshmello to produce one of the songs on her new album.

Gomez spoke with a radio station in San Diego about the track and described it as “beautiful” and “one of my favorite songs.” She went on to state that, “It’s really cool. It’s kind of in that world, his world, and I’m stepping into it and bringing my style too.”

Given the singer has described the song as being part of “Marshmello’s world,” there is no doubt that the song will be a chart topper like his recent string of releases including “Silence” featuring Khalid.

No release date has been announced for Gomez’s upcoming album.

Tchami Bids “Adieu” With New Track

This post was originally published on this site

All puns aside, the last thing we expected was Tchami to drop a new track right as his Prophecy Tour kicked off this week. Set to hit numerous cities in North America, the Prophecy Tour will keep Tchami busy over the next several weeks, but the Parisian producer nears the end of the first week of the tour by dropping an entirely new track. The best part? It takes his music in a familiar yet exciting new direction.

“Adieu” finds Tchami exploring a more uplifting side of his sound, one with almost tropical-sounding percussion, soft synths and a powerful sample. A fuzzy warble punctuates the track, hinting at Tchami’s darker side before he rings it in in favor of a more house-inspired mood. Originally known for his future house songs with glitchy vocal samples and dark synths, “Adieu” contrasts to Tchami’s signature sound without sounding alien, a rare feat for a producer known so well for a darker persona. We’re intrigued to see if he explores more of this lighter, house-inclined sound in the future, but for now we are happy to see Tchami step into the light.

Drenched in style and bursting with emotion, this new ID from Illenium is nothing less than stunning. Debuted at Snowglobe New Year’s Eve 2016, this track manages to encompass both euphoria and sadness, eliciting pangs of both heartbreak and elation to make even the most stoic of listeners loose a tear.

Though the quality of the audio leaves us wanting more, we can hear a gorgeous vocal performance give way to a gut-wrenching melody that’s powerfully simple, all tied up neatly in Illenium’s trademark style. We’ve no name for this unreleased gem, but rest assured, it’s going to be a brilliant release.

K?d Drops New Track, “Vindicta”

This post was originally published on this site

2017 will undoubtedly be the year of the ever-mysterious 19-year-old producer K?d. K?d’s second single of the year, “Vindicta” has just been unveiled upon the masses today. Similar in sound design to some of the most respected producers in the scene like Porter Robinson, REZZ, and Danger, it’s only a matter of time before K?d will be performing side by side with these notable dance musical pioneers.

K?d’s freshly minted eerie banger includes all the stylistic hallmarks that have made the young producer stand out from the rest of the pack. Dark and mysterious intros, an abundance of white noise, melodic sounding synths, and driving bass chords all packaged into one track that would fit perfectly into a chaotic anime horror scene.

Stream “Vindicta” below!

“Vindicta” is actually the sequel to “Mortem,” released last October.

Oh yea, and by the way, K?d is already in the works with mau5trap prodigy REZZ to release what is bound to be one of the most unique collaborations of 2017, so stay tuned for that.

AcesToAces has it all figured out. DJ Snake has been on fire over the last two years, and his trademark style has earned him more than a couple hit singles, but it’s hard to deny that there’s a certain formula to his iconic sound.

In this tutorial, AcesToAces deconstructs the staples of a DJ Snake tune so that everyone can sound like the award-winning Frenchman. Majestic arps, bells, reverb, muffled kicks, and pitched vocals are all part of the fun, just be sure not to forget the sunglasses.

Spotify Names The New ‘Most-Streamed Track’

This post was originally published on this site

Drake just claimed the throne to Spotify’s most-streamed track, dethroning Major Lazer’s ubiquitous “Lean On” after a hearty reign. And the new king tune in Spotify’s history? None other than Views’ “One Dance.”

Last November, “Lean On” had a comfortable 526 million plays around the world, but “One Dance” has now amassed a whopping 880 million plays, while Drake himself has over eight billion… damn.

However, the news is’t too surprising, as music streaming services more or less called this one back in June.

Callie Reiff – Shadow Dancing [Fools Gold]

This post was originally published on this site

At the mere age of 16, New York-based producer Callie Reiff has received the attention of names like Flux Pavilion, Skrillex, A-Trak, Anna Lunoe and more. Releasing on labels such as NEST HQ, Fools Gold, Audiophile XXL and more, Reiff has seen an immeasurable amount of success in the bass community. Returning to A-Trak’s own Fools Gold imprint, Reiff makes a comeback with her latest insane bass working, “Shadow Dancing.”

Combining U.K.-inspired rap vocal clips with a heavy and high energy intro, Reiff wastes no time diving headfirst into the track. Drawing inspiration from early 2012 dub for a massive build into a heavy bass drop that can simply only be called controlled chaos, Reiff shows why she’s caught the eye of some of bass music’s hottest names with her trap, neuro and dub blend that makes it hard for any listener not to fall into a headbanging fury. Check out the track below and make sure to keep up with Reiff as she continues to push the boundaries of bass music and become a pioneer in the next wave of producing talent.
