Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano detained at Romanian airport

Superstar duo Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano seemed to be in high spirits following their appearance at Romania’s Afterhills festival — apparently too high, per the allegedly concerned customs officials who detained the pair at Lasi airport as they moved to fly to their home of The Netherlands. Further inspection yielded suspicion of drug possession, due to some odd-looking pills found in their luggage that were presumed to be ecstasy.

A statement from their team notes, however, that this was all a simple mixup; the pills were in fact special vitamins that Sunnery takes, and they were let go after tests deemed them innocuous.

“Here’s what happened: Sunnery was carrying vitamin pills with him that looked suspicious to one of the custom officers and therefore we were taken with them for an extra check. They wanted to test the pills before letting us leave the country. The lab results showed that there were, of course, no drugs involved so we got back on a flight home. Please everyone, stop speculating. No arrests or charges were made. We are OK!” – Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano’s team

Local network BZI captured them on film leaving the airport as well, concealing their faces.
