Salvatore Ganacci releases hilarious new OWSLA music videoSalvatore Ganacci

You might know Salvatore Ganacci from his creative and infectious dance moves behind the decks, most notably at Tomorrowland. The Swedish producer released an equally funny music video for his new single, “Horse,” released off Skrillex‘s OWLSA label.

The visuals for “Horse” continue off the enigmatic DJ’s performance energy with the animal-whispering Salvatore rushing to save his friends from the abrasive humans.

The song is a tribute to raving in the ’90s with the throbbing kick and riding high hat. Going back to Ganacci’s youth was vital for capturing his one-of-a-kind persona, which also included hiring his childhood friend as the director, who runs the production company Business Club Royale.

This May, Ganacci’s will make his EDC Las Vegas debut along with a hefty tour schedule in Europe this summer. He also recently released the high-energy bass house track “Cake” with Megatone off Big Beat’s Ignition Compilation series.

It’s most important day of the week: New Music Friday. With the overwhelming amount of tunes hitting the airwaves today, Dancing Astronaut has you covered with the latest edition of The Hot 25.

It’s been more than five years since the music world has seen new music from Skrillex and Boys Noize‘s supergroup, Dog Blood, but that wait is finally over with “Turn Off The Lights.” Dillon Francis joins forces with lovelytheband for a, well, lovely collaboration called “Change Your Mind.” Armin van Buuren, Lucas & Steve, and Josh Cumbee deliver a feel-good number by the name of “Don’t Give Up On Me,” and Nicky Romero, DallasK, and XYLØ create a contemplative, low-key collaboration, “Sometimes.” Whethan and Bearson have crafted an effortlessly groovy “Win You Over” with SOAK, and Seven Lions and Kill The Noise take things up a notch with the formidable “The Blood.” Bassnectar reveals his Reflective Part Four EP is on its way with “Illusion,” and Kove keeps his brand of drum & bass subtle and smooth with “Echoes.” Jai Wolf and Dresage come together in “Better Apart,” and NGHTMRE and A$AP Ferg make a powerful pair in “REDLIGHT.” Sam Feldt brings summer a few months early with “One Day” with ROZES and Yves V, and Zomboy brings “The Beast” with his new single. The Chainsmokers prep for their new album with “Kills You Slowly,” and Mielo releases his Anywhere But Here EP, featuring a closing song of the same title.

As each week brings a succession of new music from some of electronic music’s biggest artists, here’s a selection of tracks that shouldn’t be missed this NMF.

For those who have witnessed one of Bosnian-born/Swedish Salvatore Ganacci‘s off-the-wall live sets, it turns out the DJ-producer brings the same energy to the studio as he does booty poppin’ behind the decks.

His latest single, the ferociously tempo-ed “Cake,” with Anjunadeep veteran, Megatone, arrives on the back of a larger animal and source of fervent anticipation: the mysterious compilation Big Beat uploaded to its SoundCloud page earlier this week. The song’s thunderous beat, squelching bass, and pitched-up vocal cuts are redolent of the omnipresent excitement sweeping across the electronic scene for Miami Music Week.

Now, to coincide with “Cake”‘s arrival, Big Beat is unraveling the track list behind the formerly anonymous compilation, surfacing some of the most sought-after names in the game from Ekali to Valentino Khan, Dillon Nathaniel to Deathpact. The compilation as a whole succeeds in mirroring the new single’s energy and pummeling electro fervor. Fans can find Ganacci ringing in the release on Ultra’s main stage this Saturday, March 30.

Big Beat Ignition is available for presale here, and for full download April 12.
