If you remember any scene from the trailer for Bradley Cooper’s new A Star Is Born remake, it is almost certainly the one in which Cooper’s character, declining roots-rock god Jackson Maine, calls from a car window to Lady Gaga’s aspiring singer, identified only as Ally. It’s a scene that’s appeared in all four(!) versions … More »
Muse announced their new album, Simulation Theory, will be released 9 November 2018 via Warner. Along with the announcement came four new tracks and a music video for “The Dark Side.” The three other tracks are “Something Human,” “Thought Contagion,” and “Dig Down.”
The successor to their 2015 full-length, Drones, exhibits some of the trio’s signature space rock atmosphere with twinkling keyboard sounds, catchy guitar melodies, and sultry vocals. Its cover art was created by Kyle Lambert, who designed the posters for “Stranger Things” and Jurassic Park.
The band are expected to announce 2019 tour dates shortly. Matt Bellamy told New Musical Express, “We’re going to do the biggest tour and just blow people’s minds with stuff they’ve never seen before. We’re going to come up with something that no one’s ever seen before. We’re always interested in the latest technology and what’s cutting edge, so we’re always thinking of the new thing that nobody’s ever used before in a concert. And we found something and we’re going to use that.”

Most reasonable civilians already agreed that war was bad without a word from Muse. Still, the trio insisted on violently driving that point home with 2015’s Drones, a concept album about drones. For over 50 minutes, we follow a brainwashed psychotic soldier (“Psycho”) who decides to be unbrainwashed and defect from the military (“Defector”), leading … More »
One of electronic music’s biggest producers, Zedd, has been a bit distant from the public eye since the release of his sophomore studio effort, True Colors. The top-of-the-charts stalwart ramped things up a year ago with the release of “Stay” featuring Alessia Cara, which almost immediately rocketed to the number one spot on the Top 40. More recently, Zedd released a collaborative single with Grey titled “The Middle.”
In a recent interview with Zane Lowe on his Beats 1 radio show, Zedd revealed that he’s working on new music with Mattt Bellamy of Muse. The collaborative efforts mark the first time Bellamy has co-written with anyone, let alone one of EDM’s most prominent producers.
Back in 2017, Zedd stated that 2018 would be “one of the most exciting” years in the 28 year old producer’s already storied career.
