Fans of David Guetta know that the producer has been spending a lot of time with Danish DJ and Producer Morten. Guetta has brought Morten out for various festival appearances including EDC Las Vegas, and they have now come together for their third joint release of the year with new single, “Make It To Heaven” featuring Raye.
The single opens with Raye’s ethereal vocals. A melodic note progression subtly builds until it becomes front and center for a club-worthy drop featuring a pulsing drum line and laser-like arpeggios yielding a polarizing techno-infused backdrop. The track is on trend with Guetta’s 2019 sound design, which has grown progressively darker as the year’s gone on.
Morten and Guetta previously came together for, “Never Be Alone,” featuring Aloe Blacc, as well as the pair’s remix for Avicii‘s “Heaven.” Their string of releases prove that the duo in the studio together are a force to be reckoned with. “Make It To Heaven” is out now via What A Music Ltd.
Avicii’s posthumous Timproject has received remix work from Laidback Luke, Tiësto, and now, David Guetta and MORTEN have taken on a rework of the popular antithetic “Heaven,” featuring Coldplay’s Chris Martin. While keeping the memorable melodic structure in place, the edit plays with the arrangement, curating a harder-hitting electro house EDM build with a sharper kick after the drop for a bigger festival feel. The remix debuted at Ultra Music Festival this year.
This was obviously a special remix for Guetta, as the two worked closely together in the past, collaborating on the instantly recognizable “Sunshine” melody and sharing many of the biggest stages in the world. The French DJ expressed his gratitude to Avicii’s family and on the idea of a remix for his friend.

With “Never Be Alone,” David Guetta and MORTEN unleash a single that will invariably electrify the festival circuit. The single is the sonic output of a specific vision shared by both Guetta and MORTEN: a thunderous return to the immersive electronic constructions characteristic of classic dance music. Designed to be a powerful set inclusion wielded by producers who–like Guetta and MORTEN–hope to harken back to the pumping, larger than life personality of festival sound, “Never Be Alone” cultivates an energetic euphoria that begins with the builds and climaxes with the drops.
Aloe Blacc‘s voice is immediately recognizable and inimitable, a formidable vocal complement to the analog house sound that Guetta and MORTEN collaboratively re-envision on the cut. “Never Be Alone” is a striking expansion of the current dance music catalog that will formally release via Warner Music/FFRR on July 26. Listeners can stream “Never Be Alone” ahead of its release, only on Dancing Astronaut. Preview the potent, club primed technics of “Never Be Alone,” below.
The bass line is bombastic and the groove is undeniable on MORTEN’s latest release on Warner Music. MORTEN heads to Rio de Janiero for his latest big room anthem. The Dutch DJ pulls his inspiration from the funk, samba, and boss nova sounds popularized throughout the cultural hive of Brazil’s favelas. “Baile De Favela” takes these familiar sounds and props them up with a larger-than-life electronic backing beat, one that’s designed to set dance floors ablaze and launch festival crowds into a frenzy.
