Detroit-based producers Golf Clap and MASTERIA have teamed up to deliver a booming house anthem titled “Mystery Scene”. The two artists wanted to combine the classic, catchy drum and percussion patterns Golf Clap is known for with MASTERIA’s more experimental sound design and rhythms. The song’s snappy drums and groovy bassline are instant attention grabbers.
Zedd and Kehlani kick things off this final Friday of September with their new collaboration, “Good Thing,” and Boys Noize links with Francis and the Lights for “Why Not?” Kaskade keeps it mellow on his new collaboration with TELYkast, “No One Else,” and Zeds Dead join forces with Funkin Matt an Fiora for “Feel So.” AC Slater’s new album includes tunes like “Bad Behavior” with Chris Lorenzo and Purple Velvet Curtains, and Mercer takes on DJ Snake and Majid Jordan’s “Recognize.” Golf Clap and MASTERIA deliver “Mystery Scene” on mau5trap/Insomniac, and Gareth Emery follows “Laserface 01 (Aperture)” with “Laserface 02 (Thoughts In Pieces).” Dimension remixes himself on “If You Want To,” and Gorgon City reveal “Warehouse Mix” and “Terrace Dub” iterations of “There For You.” Tritonal team up with Rosie Darling on “Never Be The Same,” and NGHTMRE remixes Saven Lions, SLANDER, Dabin, and Dylan Matthew’s “First Time.” Galantis bring their piano-filled joy to “Holy Water,” and Tinlicker reveal their new LP, This Is Not Our Universe. Anna Lunoe and Nina Las Vegas cook up a weekend heater, “One Thirty,” and YehMe2 remixes Matoma and Bryn Christopher’s “All Around The World.”

There’s nothing more potent for an up-and-coming electronic music producer than an element of mystery; and Masteria doesn’t need a mask to achieve it.
Indeed, the Detroit-born artist has emerged in electronic ear view with the swiftness and precision of a winged warlock. In under a year, the shadow-friendly Masteria has gleaned support from just about the most auspicious players in his chosen, niche realm of house. This attention has yielded a decisive pair of EPs on Tchami‘s CONFESSION imprint, regular plays on both NightOwl Radio and Diplo’s Revolution, and most recently, an invite from Destructo to play at his branded AMFAMFAMF stage this year at Spring Awakening Jun 8.
In anticipation of his SAMF debut, Masteria has mixed a half hour of dastardly decadent groove-oriented house. From his new Billie Eilish “bad guy” remix, to a number of his own CONFESSION tracks, to a sundry of selects from equally ill-behaved counterparts, all nefarious aural ingredients are accounted for.
Masteria will also be playing the All My Friends after party with Destructo and What So Not Saturday Jun 8 at Spybar. Tickets to Spring Awakening and official after parties are available here.
