Having just minted his Higher Ground imprint, Diplo is now turning a curative eye towards the first-ever Higher Ground showcase, co-produced by Mad Decent and Made Event. Come September 22, Diplo, Walker & Royce, Paul Woolford, Golf Clap, Huxley, SIDEPIECE, Dateless, LP Giobbi, Anden, Fundido, and Lukewarm will descend upon The Brooklyn Mirage for a lucid evening of mellifluous house music.

“[House music] has always been incredibly important to me, and Higher Ground is our homage to the legends and opportunity to champion new sounds and artists from around the world pushing the genre forward,” Diplo writes in a recent press release.

The variety of the event’s roster embodies the sonic diversity that Diplo seeks to instill in the imprint, which will encompass releases spanning tech-house, deep/melodic house, and Afro-infused house, among other styles.

Dirtybird favorites Walker & Royce put forth the label’s inaugural release on Wednesday, with their four-part (two originals, two extended cuts) EP, Rave Grave. Higher Ground is also expected to house a number of Diplo’s own original productions.
