Coachella‘s second weekend is growing to become as buzzy as its first. Greater amounts of surprise guest appearances take place—for example, J Balvin joined Rosalía on stage on Friday, and Kanye West made his way into Kid Cudi’s set. Live streaming also expanded to weekend two for its first time ever in 2019, which includes never-before-seen streams of the Yuma tent, and a “Curated” lineup of artist targets hosted by KCRW’s Jason Bentley. The streaming also includes another rarity exclusive to weekend two: Kanye West’s Easter Sunday Service, hosted on the campgrounds at 9:15am on April 21.
Those there in person and watching the live stream were gifted with something special: a brand new Kanye single which has been unveiled as “Water.” The tune was moving and soulful, making an impact when assisted by the large choir Kanye had booked for the performance. It was debuted after the rapper had performed a rendition of “All Falls Down.”
This morning, Kanye West hosted his Easter Sunday Service at Coachella. In addition to hits like “All Falls Down” and “Jesus Walks,” he performed a new song called “Water” from the mountaintop. He didn’t share any additional information about the new single or whether it will appear on his forthcoming album Yandhi. “We … More »
It’s the last day of Coachella 2019 and it is also Easter Sunday. To celebrate, Kanye West will deliver what is being billed as an “Easter Sunday Service.” It seems insane to give Kanye attention on Jesus Christ’s resurrection day, but this is the world we live in. Yeezus also joined Kid Cudi’s set last … More »
Coachella has welcomed hundreds of thousands of attendees to the 2019 edition of their festival, ensuring that those unable to attend can stream the weekend events from the comfort of their home. For the first time in Coachella history, the festival has decided to stream both weekends of the event, with weekend two capturing Kanye West‘s Sunday Service performance within the festival campgrounds.
Kanye initiates his Sunday Service performances with a choir in tow, typically dedicating an hour to gospel performances with weekly performances in the neighbourhood of Calabasas, California. These gatherings are reportedly invitation only, however viewers can witness his two-hour performance on the Coachella livestream at 9am PT/12pm ET.
“HAVE U EVER SEEN A BITCH PLAY FLUTE THEN HIT THE SHOOT?” It was a reasonable question. It was also a relevant question because it accompanied footage of the woman who posed it doing just that: first busting out an accomplished flute solo and then breaking into 2018’s biggest viral dance craze with her backup … More »
Coachella 2019 is just around the corner, and for those who couldn’t make the trek out to Indio, technology is here to save the day.

It’s been a big week for questionable pranks! On April Fools Day, Justin Bieber announced that his new wife Hailey (née Baldwin) was pregnant. She wasn’t. Today, Kim Kardashian West told Elle that her kids, North and Saint, rang in the month with a fake death. North orchestrated a prank that … More »
“American Boy” caught on like wildfire upon its 2011 release, putting Estelle on the map as a prime new talent to follow with a Kanye West co-sign. The single has since become a bonafide pop classic, and now Lost Frequencies has arrived to add a dance music twist. Per his usual M.O., the producer has twisted the original into an equally euphoric, chilled-out house tune with minimal layering. Estelle and Kanye’s vocals continue to take center stage, while Lost Frequencies builds around them with warm, analog synth melodies and a simple underlying chord progression that keeps the track bouncing along at an even pace. Taking on a megahit is always an intimidating task, but Lost Frequencies has proven he’s par for the task in this new remix.
Lost Frequencies was recently hosted on our Axis mix series. Give his mix here a spin after enjoying his “American Boy” re-do.
Coachella‘s weekend two crowd won’t get an average Easter Sunday mass—they’ll get Kanye West‘s viral Sunday Service. West will bring his live choral concept to the Indio Valley festival on April 21, where the rapper will host the Sunday Service session at 9:00 a.m. The live performance will be a weekend two exclusive.
Aptly titled, Sunday Service is West’s traveling adaptation of the religious choir that would traditionally lead a church congregation in song during a Sunday mass. But unlike the customary church choir, Kanye’s Sunday Services singers’ repertoire ranges far beyond the conventional psalms. West’s Sunday Service has delivered gospel renditions of songs like Mary J Blige‘s “Real Love,” and Kid Cudi‘s “Reborn,” as well as various West originals, like “Heard ‘Em Say” and of course “Jesus Walks.”
