Louis the Child continue to exert influence on the EDM pop sphere with a string of releases. Their newest, a collaboration with Jacob Banks, is a soulful pop ballad in which the duo forsake their carbonated future bass soundscape for a more downtrodden tune in which Banks lends his heartfelt tenor.
The song, which premiered on Perez Hilton, was part of the official Fifty Shades Freed soundtrack. “Time’s never late it is your currency. Oh, you can spend it how you like,” sings Banks. “Two empty souls won’t fill the vacancy. I know that’s heavy on your mind.”
Louis the Child isn’t typically the first electronic duo that come to mind when Fifty Shades is brought up, but we can’t say we’re too upset they’ve lent their hand to the film.
