Annie Mac announces 2020 Lost & Found lineup featuring Denis Sulta, Helena Hauff, Patrick Topping and moreUnnamed 14

Today Annie Mac announced the first phase of the 2020 lineup for her annual Maltese festival, Lost & Found. As always, dozens of Annie’s old friends including Eats Everything, Denis Sulta and Mella Dee are set to appear along with exciting newcomers like Slowthai and Helena Hauff.

Annie Mac is, unequivocally, one of the most respected human beings in music. When people look at all her endeavours; from her new podcast ‘Finding Annie’ to her ‘Annie Mac Presents’ event series and of course her nightly radio show on BBC Radio 1, what they know beyond a reasonable doubt is that she has earned the right to essentially do anything she wants in music.

What makes her so notable though is that this respect doesn’t come from her productions (of which she has none) or even her DJ sets. It comes from her impeccable and inimitable taste in music. Making a name for herself on the radio, picking tracks to get people through a portion of their day, her knack for curation is renowned, and over the past few years, she has extended that knack to live event curation in fine style.

View the full phase one roster for Lost & Found below. Tickets for AMP Lost & Found go on general sale at 10am GMT Friday 15th November.

Premiere: Avision – Jumpin’

EI8GHT is the newest label venture by longtime friends Eats Everything and Andres Campo. They chose Avision to kick off this new chapter, and the
New York mainstay in turn delivered a hard-hitting and aptly titled, Work It Out EP. Its middle track “Jumpin’” follows the exercise motif. It’s fast-paced and driving, encouraging heavy movement on the floor via retro synth stabs, acid squelches, and cymbal hits. Listeners can easily hear the classic New York sound Avision was brought up in while listening and bouncing along.

Furthermore, “Jumpin’” and the rest of Avision’s Work It Out mark a choice launch point for EI8GHT, which was founded with the mindset of producing forward-thinking and timeless techno. Keep eyes on the label as it begins to flourish under Eats Everything and Andres Campo’s guidance.

Weekend Rewind: Sasha, Pete Tong & Eats Everything at Essential Mix 20th Anniversary party

Essential Mix turned a quarter-century old this year, and per tradition, invited an array of top talent from newer and older generations to help with the festivities. The Black Madonna, Nicole Moudaber, Derrick Carter, and Skream were some notable names on the billing, lighting the iconic show’s decks up with house and techno. The show continues to chug along at a forward-thinking pace per usual, most recently hosting RÜFÜS DU SOL on November 30 for an emotive two hours.

It just so happens that five years ago on November 30, Pete Tong went b2b with Eats Everything as part of the series’ 20th birthday celebration — time certainly has a way of flying by. Sasha played before, filling the industrial Machester space with an hour of buzzy, melodic house gems that were some of his crate favorites at the time. Pete Tong and Eats Everything laid down heady grooves afterward, with cuts from Green Velvet, Martin Buttrich, Maceo Plex, and more. Both do well in bringing about good memories from that time in dance music.

Tiga and Clarian release ‘Stay Cool’ remix EPTiga Press Final 03 Copy

Earlier this year, Tiga and Clarian dropped off their three track Stay Cool EP to much acclaim, with off-kilter progressions, ear worm lyrics, and juicy acid synths pervading from the collection of funky collaborations. Now, the duo have enlisted a variety of talent from the realms of house and techno for the Stay Cool Remixes EP.

With five unique remixes from a fresh crop of creative producers, there is something for every raver on the new extended play. On his remix of “You’re So Special,” Gerd Janson channels the 1980’s with old-school synths and hollow, spacey percussion, while Eats Everything gives the same track a solid techno treatment, with understated melodies and heavy brass building up to a groovy break. With underground producers BETON, ABSOLUTE., and Dimitri Veimar each tossing in bold remixes of the EP’s title track, this collection of remixes is the perfect blend of old and new in Tiga’s colorful world of techno.

Matthew Dear, Joe Goddard and Eats Everything link up on ‘Love Games’

While it’s easy for artists to collaborate virtually, the latest track from Matthew Dear, Joe Goddard and Eats Everything came to be in a way unique only to them. Dear, best known for his dance and experimental pop music, connected with Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard over some out of the box portraits he had drawn, and the two ended up making “Love Games” together.

Enlisting underground beatmaker Eats Everything to add the final touches, “Love Games” entered the world as an entrancing industrial tech house track ready for the boom of summer. Retro accents abound, we hear analog synth bits merge with heavily-edited vocals and other glitchy accents to make quite the infectious, danceworthy number. Its catchiness was quickly noticed by Catz ‘n’ Dogz, who signed it onto their Pets Recordings imprint.
