DubVision and Syzz exert collaborative bliss on debut joint single, ‘Enlighten Me’

The introduction of DubVision and Syzz’s newly released collaboration, “Enlighten Me,” poses one specific question: when will these producers work together next? It’s an inquiry that listeners will inevitably ponder, given the potent sonic synergy of DubVision and Syzz’s individual styles on “Enlighten Me,” a single that fuses the distinctive techniques of each artist’s sound with fluid precision, and a dance-friendly beat to boot. “Enlighten Me”‘s upbeat chord assemblage highlights the song as a particularly energetic, vibrant offering from the first few opening seconds.

The co-creators loop the track’s vocal hook, creating a lyrical rhythm that rises in complementary fashion with the melody. The hook isn’t one to sing along to; it’s one to shout along to. This anthemic quality renders “Enlighten Me” a number well-suited for play during the 2019 festival season.

DubVision and Syzz cite “Enlighten Me” as the vibrant product of many hours in the studio.

“We’ve been working on a collab for about a year and a half,” the DJs said in a press release. “With ‘Enlighten Me,’ we all had a great feeling from the start. The first demo was done quite quickly, after which we took our time to perfect the details. In the end, we managed to get a perfect combination of groove and melody that perfectly represents the sound of both DubVision and Syzz.”

The most important day of every week: New Music Friday. As each week brings a succession of new music from some of electronic music’s biggest artists, here’s a selection of tracks that shouldn’t be missed.

The Magician casts his infectious house melodies on Michael Calfran’s “It’s Wrong,” featuring smooth vocals from Danny Dearden. A bouncing bassline dances with the melody, adding a groovy swing to the remix.

Russian DJ ARTY brings an effervescent light to “Perfect Strangers,” A Euro dance build falls into stuttering electro house. Big, bright synths are part of the lush atmosphere he’s built here, seemingly drawing inspiration from Avicii in his early works.

Timmy Trumpet and Maddix have teamed up to bring stadium-sized psytrance in “The Prophecy,” released off Hardwell‘s Revealed imprint. Middle Eastern vocals dance alongside big kicks and a hefty bassline, while on the verses, bright synths croon above a bed of casual drums, unaware of what’s to come next.

Dzeko teams up with Brazilian producer, Liu, to show off intimidating bass house with body-tingling bass and rhythm-bouncing vocal chops. The melody builds anticipation on “Don’t Stop,” which then drops listeners deep down low into a bass abyss.

Abby Diamond walks along filtered sultry synths, twinkling texture, and accompanying percussive elements in “Irrelevant.” The harmony wafts in the air or flows like water, with Diamond’s dynamic atmosphere personifying elements.

Armada Music has released “Antares,” a bright electro house festival thumper from the two Dutch brothers, DubVision. Inspiring melodies build and maintain anticipation while the kick drives.

Phantoms feature Vanessa Hudgens on their pop-inspired single, “Lay With Me.” Hudgens rides the groove, showing off her range and spirit-lifting hooks.

Anna Yvette gets retro on “Shooting Star,” with her vocals gliding along ’80s synths, old-school drums, and a sparkling atmosphere, while slowing the tempo down for breakdowns. “Shooting Star” also features a sick guitar solo during the bridge.

Lido has released his I O U 1 EP off Emmanuel de Buretel’s Because Music label. “Partake” stands out among the list of must-listens, as a melancholy Lido slows heartbeats and mourns over distraught emotions. The song takes a turn halfway through, touting a story of resiliency.

i_o builds flawlessly on “Feel You Now,” sliding the arrangement into melodic bliss that sounds like stars shimmering in the night. A pulsating bassline drives alongside the big kick rhythm.

League of Legends is known for collaborating with great artists and releasing fire tracks. This time around, they team up with The Glitch MobMako, and The Word Alive for their 2018 theme song, “Rise.” Notes of electronic rock give way to a bit of headbanging in a more pop avenue.

Secondcity delivers groovy funk house with soulful vocals on top in “Tomorrow’s World.” Chord progressions of keys build with sax sounds to create a must-listen for any disco lover.

DJ Doctor Boom delivers a remix pack of JoJo‘s “Oh Yes Oh Yes” off his Del Sol imprint based out of Tampa, Florida. Brian Busto’s stands out for its infectious percussive swing and contrast between gritty lows and scintillating highs.

Hanne Mjøen’s newest single might be called “Sounds Good To Me,” but in actuality it sounds good to everyone. The blossoming Norwegian singer has been signed to Warner — a sign of true talent — and is already capturing worldwide attention with infectious hits like the one above.

Adam Port and RÜFÜS DU SOL make for an enticing combination. The Keinemusik member put his simmering, hypnotic touch on the Australian trio’s original “Underwater,” which works extraordinarily well with the airy chords and feel-good vocals of the song’s first iteration.

EXCLUSIVE: DubVision & Firebeatz to debut their new supergroup, METAFO4R, tonight at EDC Las Vegas

This post was originally published on this site

A new era for DubVision and Firebeatz is set to take off at EDC Las Vegas. Over the years, the two duos have been behind some of dance music’s biggest releases, toured around the globe, and even collaborated together on a number of tracks. Earlier this year, it was announced that the longtime friends would be reuniting at this year’s EDC Las Vegas for a special back to back performance but there is apparently more to it than meets the eye.

For the very first time this evening in Las Vegas, the two acts will double up on stage at the kineticFIELD to reveal their new supergroup, METAFO4R. While the news may come as a shock to some fans, the four minds have been at hard work in the studio dating back to last summer and have a trove of IDs ready to go. Their iconic progressive and electro styles will clash together for a entirely new sound as they look to bring us something “different” with “a new beginning for house music.”

Check out the teaser trailer below and fans lucky enough in attendance will be able to witness the inaugural METAFO4R set tonight from 8:13–9:25PM PST at the kineticFIELD.

Premiere: DubVision – Paradise

This post was originally published on this site

Dutch duo DubVision know their way around the block, having been one of Netherland’s staple big room acts for the past decade and one of the spearheading acts during the Dutch big room invasion in 2012-13. Although the EDM scene has undergone some massive changes, the duo has successfully altered and evolved their sound—managing to stay in the limelight in the process.

Their latest track, “Paradise” exemplifies how far the duo’s sound and the progressive house genre have come. Gone are the rolling chord progressions from their tracks of yesteryear, replaced instead with pitch warped vocal and piano samples, aided by their timeless drum samples and big, airy synths.

We spend some of our in between gig days in and around Miami,” said the duo of the track. “Everybody knows this place because of MMW and Ultra. Its super hectic then, but Miami is actually very chill and super tropical and relaxing later in the season.”

“We stayed there for a couple of days, swam with sharks, kitesurfed, ate cuban food and drank the most tropical cocktails you can imagine just walking around in flip flops and listening to the ocean. We stayed there in our own little paradise. That was when we came up with the melody one night. It was only logical to name this track ‘Paradise’”

“Paradise” is more than just a regular track, it is a statement that DubVision are truly all in on the new era of EDM.
