2020 is primed to be a big year for Claude VonStroke, as he’s celebrating the 15th anniversary of his beloved Dirtybird Records imprint, named Dancing Astronaut‘s Label of the Decade. Marking the occasion with an array of announcements, VonStroke is gearing up for the release of his fourth studio album Freaks & Beaks, though, he’s giving fans a quick holdover in the meantime with a short, sweet two-track EP, All My People In The House.

The EP includes “All My People In The House” and “Youngblood,” set to be the first two singles from the upcoming full-length project. The sound is just what fans would expect from the “Barrump” producer, capped by groovy beats and occasional vocal quips, unique synths, and tasty drum patterns.

The Dirtybird boss also has plans to bring back Dirtybird Campout (as head counselor) and event series Dirtybird BBQ, which traveled across major US cities in 2019. Topping things off, VonStroke launched a new Docuseries that gives viewers a glimpse of life while producing the album and touring. In episode one, he unveils plans to release a book showcasing Dirtybird’s history.

Freaks & Beaks is out in full on February 21, with an art show and listening party to precede in Los Angeles on February 18. Fans can pre-order the book and album box-set here.

VonStroke’s first stop in Chicago will also be a monumental one as he brings his show to the iconic venue The Mid as its last two shows before it closes for good. The good vibes from DIRTYBIRD house, techno, and bass sounds will see the venue out with a bang.

KLL SMTH has released his live set from his appearance at the Dirtybird Campout West back in 2017.

Like many artists out of the electronic music community in Denver, Colorado, KLL SMTH has a close relationship with fans and values live performance, sharing his own live sets with fans whenever possible. This outing is no different, offering a multitude of tracks from his own library of releases as well as music from close friends Noisia, Doctor Jeep, and new personal edits of his own. After performing during Dirtybird Campout in October 2017, KLL SMTH has gone on to release more wobbly electronic pieces like his hit “NICE ONE.” While KLL SMTH hasn’t been confirmed for this year’s Dirtybird Campout West, artists like EPROM, Mark Ronson and Madam X will succeed him at the Bass Lodge stage this October.

Do LaB and Dirtybird end Dirtybird Campout partnership

Los Angeles-based festival producers Do LaB officially announced that they’ll be ending their longstanding partnership with the bass-bumping house label, Dirtybird Records.

Since the hatching of the Dirtybird Campout back in 2015, both the event and the organizations have each grown considerably. With three years of sold-out events, star-studded lineups, and over the top summer camp inspired programming under their belt, Dirtybird has now chosen to carry out the Campout independently from the Do LaB.

“Creating the wild and one-of-a-kind Dirtybird Campout has been one of the most rewarding experiences we’ve had the privilege to take part in and we’re very proud of the unique event we were able to build together,” Do LaB’s Co-Founder and President, Jesse Flemming said of the two’s partnership. “The Dirtybird community welcomed us with open arms, so hosting their amazing fans for the last 3 years has been very special.”

Fans of the Do LaB’s production can continue to take part in the team’s creative conceptualization at their flagship festival, Lightning In A Bottle, and Coachella.
