Groove Cruise Miami, hot off the heels of a successful 15th anniversary sailing, already has some big announcements underway for their 2020 sailing. The floating festival has revealed the dates, and set its sights on a new destination, for next year’s voyage. Groove Cruise Miami will head to Costa Maya, Mexico for four days of high seas hedonism aboard Celebrity Cruises, and best of all—tickets are already on sale for the January 9 – 13, 2020 sailing (pro tip: use promo code DANCINGASTRO for $50 off per person).

Festival goers will arrive in Costa Maya in style— aboard a state-of-the-art vessel equipped with casinos, basketball courts, spas, and a pool on the main deck. The ship is even powered by smokeless turbine engines. With the promise of a premium getaway both on and off the ship, Groove Cruise continues to enhance the festival experience as its 16th anniversary approaches.

Groove Cruise has a lengthy track record of programming dance music’s most elite DJs and producers for lavish beach-side adventures, and next year’s event is primed to be Groove Cruise’s finest outing yet. Along with a well curated crop of talent, the cruise’s intimate setting offers themed parties, artist-led activities, and performances unlike most other festival sets out there. What’s more, off the ship, attendees will have the opportunity to blend experiences, exploring Costa Maya’s ancient Mayan ruins and local attractions before returning to the party.

Tickets are now available for Groove Cruise Miami 2020 — purchase tickets here and be sure to use promo code DANCINGASTRO for $50 off per person.

After embarking on a memorable maiden voyage in late 2018, FriendShip is set to sail the seas again in early 2020.

In a New Year’s Eve Instagram post, the festival shared the exciting news that FriendShip would be returning January 6-10, 2020. The Instagram post noted that “everyone on the Maiden Voyage will have first dibs” and promised “more details to follow soon.”

The inaugural edition in December 2018 boasted a lineup including RÜFÜS DU SOL, Boys Noize, Dixon, Claptone, and countless others during its sail from Miami to the Bahamas’ CocoCay. Despite a brief return to port after a medical emergency on the day it set sail, the new floating festival venture from Destructo had fans clamoring for spots on the ship, with more than 1,400 cabins selling out in less than 48 hours after going on sale.

Keep an eye on the FriendShip website here.

BREAKING: Friendship’s maiden voyage forced to turn back to port due to medical emergency aboard ship

Destructo‘s new floating festival concept, Friendship, has already experienced some choppy waters as the event’s maiden voyage gets underway. Less than 24 hours into the ship’s first sailing, The Celebrity Equinox was forced to return to Miami due to a medical emergency aboard the boat. The boat, headed for private island Coco Cay, made an unannounced turnaround, which is seemingly due to it making more logistic sense to return to port than to have the coast guard fly out into open water.

The nature of the medical emergency on board is still unclear, though unsubstantiated reports claim a broken elbow and a heart attack could be the reasons behind the ships return. As of publishing, Friendship representatives have not returned a request for comment, though Port Miami has confirmed that the ship had docked and has once again set sail for Coco Cay. Boys Noize, Dixon, RÜFÜS DU SOL, and more are slated to perform on Friendship’s debut sailing. Stay tuned for updates.
