Cosmic Gate & Markus Schulz’s ‘AR’ remix competition offers insane prizes

Since the September release of “AR” on the Materia – Chapter.Two album, collaborators Cosmic Gate and Markus Schulz have kept up the momentum of the track with a huge remix opportunity.

Partnering with Groove Cruise Miami, MetaPop and Native Instruments, the duo are giving fans a chance to remix the trance anthem for a shot at some huge prizes. The winner of the remix competition for “AR” will get an opening DJ slot with Schulz on Groove Cruise Miami, taking place Jan. 26-29. In addition, the winner will receive an ocean-view stateroom for two guests, a Groove Cruise Recordings schwag bundle, and a debut of the winning remix on the Global DJ Broadcast with Schulz. To beef up the winner’s studio game, they will also receive Native Instruments’ Komplete Ultimate 11 (valued at $1,199), Native Instruments’ Maschine Mk3 (valued at $599), a Native Instruments store voucher for $200, a one-year pro subscription for LANDR, and a commercial release on Black Hole Recordings.

Armin van Buuren embarks on a 14 hour ASOT mission in honor of ADE [LIVE STREAM]

Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) is officially underway, with thousands of artists and fans filling up the city in celebration of their beloved music. Virtually every single genre under the sun in covered in this all-encompassing celebration, which began on October 18 and will continue into the 22.

Armin van Buuren is in a particularly good position for the current festivities. Having moved the ASOT headquarters to a sleek new studio in Amsterdam at the beginning of 2017, the purveyor of pop and trance is hosting an extra special episode that began in the early hours of Thursday and will continue beyond the ASOT studio and into ADE itself.

Trance fans are able to tune into the action and get their fill of caliber music from Armin van Buuren, Standerwick, and more on the ASOT YouTube Channel.

Something Wicked: The Asylum reveals 2017 spine-tingling lineup featuring Above & Beyond, Marshmello, Tiësto, & more

Creep closer — if you dare — into the eerie-air of The Asylum, a ghoulish musical underworld from Disco Donnie Presents, promising its attendees the most haunted Halloween Weekend imaginable.

Squirming and slithering its way back to the Sam Houston Race Park of Houston, Texas, this year’s sinister selection of artistry is sure to bring forth a perfectly wicked atmosphere for festival-goers.

Opening the two-night monster mash are headliners Marshmello and Above & Beyond, both set to take on the crowd with performances of hellish proportions on Saturday, October 28. Sunday, Tiësto is set to close out the festivities with performances from REZZ, RL Grime, Zeds Dead, Hippie Sabotage, Tchami and many more along the way.

Another Friday has come, and with it boatloads of new and exciting music from the furthest corners of the EDM realm. Thanks to our friends over at /r/EDM, we now have a short and sweet guide to the new music released from today.

From Above & Beyond and Julian Jordan to Cosmic Gate and 3LAU, this Friday’s list is a truly diverse round up of tracks. To cap things, we’ve even received a brand new original from GRiZMATiK, the GRiZ and Gramatik collab project known for its jazz and electro hybrid sound. “As We Proceed” is filled to the brim with uplifting brass, piano and wubs above a grooving rhythm and crisp percussion shots.
