It’s already been two months since Hardwell stopped touring, but fortunately this decision has left him with more time to work on and release new music. The latest addition to his extensive catalog is “Being Alive,” a long-awaited track featuring JGUAR that was originally debuted at Tomorrowland this past summer. “Being Alive” follows the Dutch producer’s early December collaboration with Conor Maynard titled, “How You Love Me.”
In typical Hardwell fashion, JGUAR’s vocals frame the introduction of the song and build into an energetic progressive drop. Should the track remind fans of one of Hardwell’s earliest releases, “Apollo,” it is because this is the official follow up song of the release according to the producer’s Twitter. “Being Alive” is out now on Hardwell’s very own Revealed Recordings.
Swedish superstar Alesso, took to Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series in NYC’s storied Central Park in early September to perform his brand new single, “REMEDY.” The performance was equipped not only with full-fledged live instrumentation, but also vocals from the track’s tender-voiced Conor Maynard. A patron of piano since the ripe age of seven, Alesso assumed his position on keyboard at the crest of the prismatic stage setup.
While the track is Alesso’s first release of the year, the artist has kept quite active on the festival front. To follow up his top-notch wrap-up of Electric Zoo‘s 10th anniversary installment (during which “REMEDY” made a notable cameo), his headlining seat at Imagine Festival will serve as the searing crescendo to Alesso’s full-bodied festival season.
After crushing 2017 with chart-topping, radio hits including “Let Me Go” featuring Hailee Steinfeld and Florida Georgia Line, and “Is That For Me” featuring Brazilian vocalist Anitta, Alesso is back again with new music. Making his 2018 debut, the famed Swedish DJ gives fans a taste of his renewed sound on “REMEDY” featuring English singer/songwriter Conor Maynard.
The new single is built on wide appeal, as Alesso incorporates a wide range of instrumentals and rhythms. He kicks it off with soothing piano riffs and a soca-inspired drum beat, all layered under captivating vocals from Maynard. The tune’s break is light, yet pleasing to the ear with melodic harmonies and echoing pitch changes, bringing together a warming, complementary collaboration for the pair on “REMEDY.”
This track is Alesso’s first release on Universal Music Group’s new imprint 10:22pm, and made its live debut on Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series in NYC’s Central Park. He’ll stay in the US this fall, closing out the main stage with Tiësto at Electric Zoo‘s 10th anniversary prior to a headline set at Imagine Music Festival September 21.
