UK rising star, Codeko, has seen tremendous growth in 2017 with his remix of Marshmello’s “Silence” topping SiriusXM’s BPM Countdown and, most recently, his single with Austin Mahone, “Say Hi,” taking off. An anthemic combination of vibrant horns, crisp percussion, and catchy lyrics, “Say Hi” balanced dance and pop elements in a creative way, marking a major release for both artists.

For the music video, Codeko and Austin Mahone take center stage as the camera flips between a variety of clips from writing together to playing sold out shows to performing an acoustic version for college students. With the track still gaining steam heading into the new year, both the budding producer and vocal talent are sure to continue building.

While he may still be on the rise, UK newcomer Codeko is certainly making strides to make 2018 his breakout year.

Last year was when the London-based producer made his first stir, earning the official Electric Zoo anthem for his song “Walking with Lions” after winning Mysteryland’s remix contest. Continuing his success into this year, Codeko has remixed Tritonal and NomBe before his remix of Marshmello’s “Silence” went rampant on the Internt and went on to be #1 at SiriusXM’s channel, BPM.

With 2017 coming to a close, the upward-headed talent ends the year off with a major release: his new single “Say Hi” featuring Austin Mahone. A jubilant, mood-boosting piece of dancepop, “Say Hi” maintains a high level of energy due to Codeko’s crisp yet punching production while Mahone’s smooth vocals give it the accessibility both commercial and dance fans will enjoy.

To kick the release of their collaboration, Codeko & Austin Mahone took on the task of playing 8 parties in 24 hours at various venues across the University of Arizona in Tucson. Watch their collegiate marathon recap above and stream “Say Hi” now below.

Festivals are a uniting experience, where people come together and connect through the power and energy of music. New York’s Electric Zoo wanted to capture this spirit in their first-ever official festival anthem. “We have always wanted to produce a festival anthem that represents the theme of our festival that would resonate with our fans,” says Electric Zoo Festival Director Adam Richman. “There is no question Codeko’s ‘Walking With Lions’ does exactly that.” Codeko’s ‘Walking With Lions’ tells the story of unity well. Electric Zoo is around the corner, set for yet another Labor Day Week on Randall’s Island. The annual New York City festival revamps yet again, following last year’s Transformed theme with Wild Island 2016.

With the Big Apple’s festival goers anxious to return to the festival, Electric Zoo has unleashed its official anthem. Produced by Codeko, featuring Raphaella, the aptly titled “Walking With Lions” embodies the Wild Island theme with its feel-good, anthemic dance production and lyrical tie-ins that sonically illustrate the festival’s weekend-long experience.

The official anthem for this year’s edition of Electric Zoo has officially been released, and it comes courtesy of the quickly rising 20-year-old producer Codeko. Released via Armada, Codeko’s single “Walking With Lions” features London-based singer RAPHAELLA, and will stand as the first-ever official anthem for the festival. Taking place Sept 2-4th, Electric Zoo: Wild Island will include attendees in its otherworldly land of wild escapades and top-notch music selections. Acts like Flux Pavilion, Vanic, and Codeko will be amping up the main stage all weekend, followed by EZOO’s nightly headliners Bassnectar, Tiesto, and Hardwell.

“We have always wanted to produce a festival anthem that represents the theme of our festival that would resonate with our fans. There is no questions Codeko’s Walking With Lions does exactly that.” – Electric Zoo Festival Director Adam Richman

“Walking With Lions” perfectly captures the spirit of Electric Zoo. Leading in with an ominous chord progression, RAPHAELLA’s cinematic vocals charge the song as an eventual breakdown of bright horns, lively drums, and glistening synth work take you right into that festival mindset.
