Breakbot and Ruckazoid‘s track, “Another You,” has been out since June, but the tune is a gift that just keeps on giving. The collaboration between the French artists got even more legs through an animated video playing out the artists spreading their love.
Mat Zo also declared his love for the track earlier this month, leading him to put his own spin on “Another You.” Posted on his SoundCloud, Mat Zo’s bootleg takes the original’s funky soul leanings and amplifies their energy into a solid gold disco track.
French producer Breakbot has released the video for his latest single, a collaboration with Ruckazoid titled “Another You.”
The video is — like so much else in his music career — a nod to Breakbot’s eye for graphic design and animation, and his personal experience as a computer graphics student at Supinfocom.
The video for “Another You” is illustrated by Oliver Lescot and animated in a familiar and nostalgic style of cartoons before the digital age. The video follows a singular character — presumably a representation of both Breakbot and Ruckazoid — as he travels throughout his world disseminating love and good vibes.
The original nu disco track is out via Ed Banger Records.
Mind Enterprises served up a heavy dose of funk in his recent single, “S.H.A.K.E.” Now, he’s passed his tune off to French electro icon Breakbot to cast it in a brand new light.
The original’s high nostalgia levels are kept in place in Breakbot’s remolding; however, the Ed Banger signee decides to conjure this sentiment by way of disco grooves. It’s a subtle, yet effective change, and this new canvas Breakbot’s put in place works well when dressed with “S.H.A.K.E’s” distinctive bass guitar riffs and lo-fi vocal samples.

Fans had to be evacuated from the indoor Parlor stage tent at around 5PM after the floor broke in the middle of Isaiah Rashad’s set, Billboard reports, and the stage … More »
