Patrick Stickles does everything with intention. Having now released music via his Titus Andronicus project for over a decade, Stickles long ago proved that even in his work’s most aesthetically raw moments, there are layers of thought at play. So, while it may come as some surprise that he’s announcing a new album called An … More »

Do you like NOISE? Do you like POP?? Do you like it when both get shoved together, forced to rub elbows with each other, and at first they don’t like it — but then everyone realizes it kinda works in a chocolate-and-peanut-butter-y sort of way, and voila: NOISE POP is born???
If so, there’s a long-running music festival I REALLY need to tell you about.
That’s right: Noise Pop Festival has just announced the full lineup for its 27th iteration, coming up February 25 through March 3 at various venues in the San Francisco Bay Area. The weeklong festival features a bevy of eclectic artists spanning the whole spectrum of music (all the way from noise to pop!), including the noise-poppy likes of Beirut, Princess Nokia, Bob Mould, Nosaj Thing, Baths, and way way (way!) more.
You can buy badges for the festival here; or, if you’re the type, say, who really much prefers either noise OR pop over the other, you can also purchase tickets for the individual shows happening as part of the festival.
Anyway, you know the drill: watch a clip and then check out the full lineup down below:
