Bassjackers finally release the song fans have been hearing all summer longBassjackers

One of the elements that remains unique to the electronic music industry is the fact that “new” releases are oftentimes tracks that fans have heard in live performance for months — sometimes even years — before their full release. As was the case with Tiesto‘s recent single “WOW,” and more recently, with Bassjackers‘ and Sunstars’ newest single “Block.” The track has been gracing mainstages across the world for the entirety of the season, even though it is one of Spinnin‘s newest releases.

Fans have heard this cutting combination of notes throughout the entirety of festival season, with its upbeat nature and bouncy synths. Spinnin’ is known for identifying tracks and artists manufactured for great live performance, and the label has another hit festival song in Bassjacker’s “Block.”

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have released their Tomorrowland 2018 EP, featuring collaborations with Hardwell, Nicky Romero, KSHMR, W&W, Gucci Mane, Wiz Khalifa, and Bassjackers. Celebrating the two-weekend event, the Belgian DJ duo released seven tracks in 10 days.

The EP kicks off with “Unity,” a heavy collaboration with Hardwell. Festival synths and hardstyle rhythms take over, surprising listeners. Nicky Romero’s feature samples The Chemical Brothers‘ “Hey Boy, Hey Girl,” in another hardstyle heater.  “Opa” with KSHMR takes advantage of Greek influences using Bouzouki sounds and electro-house rhythms.

“Arcade Mammoth” is as big and wide as the title suggests. Plucking synths that lead into trance synth melodies is exactly what listeners would expect from this collaboration between Dutch duo, W&W, and the No. 2 DJs on DJ Mag‘s Top 100 DJs list.

There are two Bassjackers alliances on the EP, “All I Need” and “The Jungle.” Both combine elements of trap, electro, and bass music using trap rhythms and eclectic synth whomps.

The project culminates with a calmer verse than previous tracks. Around the two-minute mark, listeners are met with that signature hardstyle fans know and love from Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. Wiz Khalifa’s vocals add a cooling contrast from the bigger synth play.

NMF Roundup: Yellow Claw bring the heat, Elephante tugs at heartstrings, SLANDER remix Above & Beyond, and more

The most important day of every week: New Music Friday. As each week brings a succession of new music from some of electronic music’s biggest artists, here’s a selection of tracks that shouldn’t be missed.

Sydney producer JVLY teams up with the sultry SARAI to create a groovy atmospheric tune full of pulsing synths and clean high hats.

The production trio known as Brohug take the original “Too Good To Be True” and turn it into a vibrant house heater that entices dancing from beginning to end.

Blasterjaxx and Bassjackers perfectly execute a dynamic big room track, with a heavy kick and mesmerizing lead synth. Festival-goers will stand no chance.

If future house is on the agenda for the weekend, then Jay Hardway and Mesto are claiming their spot with a track that bounces with stuttering synths and a catchy repeating vocal, leaving some of us not wanting to be saved.

Building anticipation for their new album on June 22, the Yellow Claw duo release yet another silky tune featuring Rochelle, full of brassy horns and a fat snare.

Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa sound like a dream duo, until Valentino Khan comes along and puts his spin on “One Kiss,” turning it into a classic house beat riddled with alluring piano.

Elephante taps on the powerfully elegant Nevve to bring “Otherside” to life, that speaks about trying to remember a dream you had and the pursuit of getting back to it.

1788-L creates a literal “CYBERSPACE,” by building an epically cinematic and intricate track full of gritty synths that makes one feel as if they really are in the future.

SLANDER create their own emotional rendition of Above & Beyond‘s “ALWAYS,” that dramatically builds from minimal elements to an all encompassing drop.

Melbourne duo Two Can deliver a melodic beauty “Got Habits” in the form of one knocky wood block, a hypnotizing vocal, and strategic synths.

Delicate guitar riffs ring, as deep bass slowly take over on Tom Budin and Kopa’s splendid new track “Things Change.”

Australian multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Mickey Kojak, delivers a refreshingly unique tune full of retro vibes from the arpeggiating pluck to the funky bassline.

The mysterious In.Drip. project feels something like driving in the rain. With his crispy yet mellow beats, laden with his effortlessly gentle voice that delivers verse after verse, he makes any drive a pleasant one.

ZAXX pulls on the heartstrings in “Together” with playful xylophones and a huge synth drop, that leaves the listener in a world of their own.

Newcomer OTHER creates a catchy tune from his soulful voice reminiscent of Blackbear and Mike Posner, to the clean guitar and exciting electronic drop.

Bassjackers & Breathe Carolina – The Fever

This post was originally published on this site

The Bassjackers have teamed up with Breathe Carolina and APEK to release a hot, synth-infused, and bass heavy track dubbed “The Fever.”

Kicking off with deep and dark vocals, the tune soon progresses to an extraordinarily energetic buildup that unleashes havoc with melodies, slippery synths, and incredible chord progression. Bassjackers, Breathe Carolina, and APEK take things down a bit after the first chorus to emphasize a filtered pluck that leads us into the next drop. “The Fever” is all about buildups, synths, and festival vibes and is a head rush you’ll actually enjoy.
