The first of Gryffin‘s two-part EP series, Gravity Pt. 1, convenes four familiar Gryffin offerings with two previously unheard cuts, to strike a balance between well-received releases and fresh material. Gravity Pt. 1 arrives as a welcome extended effort from the “Feel Good” collaborator, who has steadily responded to listeners’ tastes for new Gryffin music in a piecemeal manner, dropping one tune at a time. Although Gryffin fans won’t see the second part of the sonic Gravity saga gain a release until 2019, Gravity Pt. 1 is sure to pervade streamers’ speakers with its inviting enthusiasm of sound.

The producer pilots “Bye Bye” and “You Remind Me” on the first installment in the Gravity series. The two new tunes further evidence Gryffin’s penchant for vocal-centric constructions with ascendant melodies, as affirmed by earlier singles, “Nobody Compares To You,” “Just For A Moment,” Tie Me Down,” and “Remember.” The final two inclusions of Gravity Pt. 1, “Bye Bye” and “You Remind Me” gently guide the vibrant first installment in the Gravity series to an end.
