While the LA-based Drezo seemed ostensibly idle on the release front these past several months, he has been working scrupulously behind the scenes concocting what he’s now confirmed to be a heathen handful of new tunes.
The first single from the inaugural Omens EP, “Afterlife,” is due this Friday, May 24. The first edition of the series will see five tracks come to fruition some time this year. Drezo confirmed the news via Twitter, elaborating on the nature of the darkened soundscapes he’s been toiling away with, priming for preternatural release.
According to Drezo (real name Andre Haglund), the project will exhibit the “dark/industrial club sound” he’s predicated his devilish sonic demeanor on for years. Drezo’s decisively dedicated fan base knows well that silence doesn’t equate to stagnation; and the long-awaited announcement hits like sweet, blazing hellfire.
Excited to announce my new EP series, Omens. Each volume will represent the dark/industrial club sound I’ve built my project on while also giving me a space to release collabs with artists in the same realm. The first volume contains 5 tracks, the first song is out this Friday. pic.twitter.com/TECpfmQOWe
