Moonrise announces 2019 lineup, featuring Tiësto, Illenium, Nora En Pure + moreMoonrise

The two-day Moonrise Festival at Baltimore’s Pimlico Race Course will return for its sixth installment Aug. 10-11 with a wave of diversity in its lineup.

Streaming services are breaching new territory on the genre side of things, with viral charts becoming largely saturated by hip-hop acts. This festival season is starting to reflect these changes, with a prime example in Moonrise Festival. The genre-led ripple effect brings rappers 21 Savage and Smokepurpp, among others, to a largely electronic-based lineup at the race track’s infield.

Joining them are some of dance music’s top players, including Tiësto, Yellow Claw, k?d, Illenium, Nora En Pure, and more.

Boys Noize and Kenny Beats may have more in common than meets the eye. Both have a background in creating raucous electronic tunes (genre aside), as well as a penchant for hip-hop production. Just as Boys Noize dropped collaborations with Snoop Dogg and Gizzle, Kenny Beats has left his position with LOUDPVCK to try his hand at hip-hop production. Becoming one of the hottest producers in hip-hop, Kenny Beats has worked with Rico Nasty, JPEGMAFIA, and now, teaming up with Boys Noize, has produced the beat to Smokepurpp‘s new track, “Repeat.”

Fitted with Kenny Beats’ signature bass-heavy swing, the two producers conjure a beat with room for Smokepurpp to belt out his jarring vocals. Clocking in at two minutes, the track fits into the hard-hitting, fast-paced production style that has brought Kenny Beats to the top.

NGHTMRE puts his signature style on Flosstradamus and Smokepurpp’s ‘MVP’

NGHTMRE

It’s no secret that NGHTMRE stormed the music scene ever since his release of “Street,” where he showed his creativity by sampling a pan and turning it into one of the biggest trap songs of 2015. Since then he has seen massive success from his own headline tours to more hard hitting originals and of course remixes.

Now, the producer is back with another face melter in the form of a remix for Flosstradamus and Smokepurpp’s “MVP.” The original was enough to get us bouncing and singing along, however NGHTMRE adds his special touch and turns it into a song that you are now aggressively dancing to and probably uncontrollably shouting lyrics in your friends face.

With the heaviest of synths, punchy kicks and crispy snares, NGHTMRE welcomes you into the weekend.
