It’s most important day of the week: New Music Friday.

This week’s releases are true stunners. After announcing a collaboration with Lights back in July, deadmau5 has finally unveiled “Drama Free” as part of his mau5ville: Level 2 EP. Oliver Heldens throws it back four decades by remixing CHIC‘s 1978 hit “Le Freak,” adding in a pounding bass to accentuate the original’s groovy beat. Bingo Players and Bali Bandits bring the funk with “Body Rock,” and SLANDER and Spag Heddy waste no time setting “Running to You” on fire. Ray Volpe puts his own spin on Ookay‘s “In My Mind,” while Party Favor taps Naïka for the hefty “Blame.” As part of What So Not‘s Not All The Beautiful Things remix package, AC Slater‘s put his signature bass-fueled house spin on the famous “Goh.” Kill Paris has put his own laid-back twist on Alison Wonderland‘s “Easy,” and Ross From Friends thrills with a take on Thundercat‘s “Friend Zone.”

David Guetta & Sia – Flames (Robin Schulz Remix)

This post was originally published on this site

Robin Schulz, the German producer widely recognized for his island-channeling guitar riffs, has delivered his warm-weather remix of David Guetta and Sia‘s “Flames.” Guetta and Sia recently reunited for the track to follow up the unearthly success of their 2011 single, “Titanium.”

Schulz offers “Flames” his signature tropical touch, further accentuating Sia’s sweltering vocals. With Guetta’s subtle percussion replaced by Schulz’s momentous drum beats and distorted voice synths, the remix transcends the pop-centric “Flames” into a more forthright dance track.

Schulz secured his consummate remixer status in 2014 after both his renditions of Lilly Wood and The Prick’s “Prayer In C” and Mr. Probz‘s “Waves” went gold and platinum, respectively, topping worldwide charts.

disneyland

Everyone seems to want a piece of the electronic music scene these days, and Disney certainly isn’t excluded. Last year, Disneyland Paris hosted its first ever electronic music festival called Electroland in celebration of the park’s 25th birthday. Although its quarter of a century birthday celebrations are over, the park has chosen to continue with the festival after a successful first event.

The 2017 rendition of Electroland featured Steve Aoki and Nervo as headliners, and Disneyland Paris just announced the 2018 lineup and details. This year, Disneyland Paris is bringing on Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Afrojack, and Robin Schulz as headliners in addition to Bob Sinclair and Klingande playing the open air festival. The Hollywood Tower Hotel will be outfitted with state of the art lights, screens, and special effects to match the DJs’ performances.

Fans can mark their calendars for June 29th and 30th, which are the official dates for the 2018 version of the Disneyland Paris event.

Robin Schulz reworks CamelPhat & Elderbrook’s Grammy-nominated ‘Cola’

This post was originally published on this site

CamelPhat & Elderbrook’s “Cola” dominated 2017.

Deservedly nominated for a Grammy and named Beatport‘s No. 1 track of the year, it’s for certain the number is a telling testament to the changing tides of dance music. “Cola” is appeasingly emotive in its nature, but it’s a sensible production that appeals to clubbers and introspects alike, an ever-rising phenomenon in contemporary club culture in itself.

German producer Robin Schulz is the latest musical maven to be tapped for a rework of the anthem. After his rise to commercial success with edits like “Prayer In C” and “Waves,” it only makes sense he would take on this momentous work.

Schulz puts an expectedly enlivened spin on “Cola.” He dissects the original’s minimal production and introduces what seems like a mere tech house commencement, but eventually builds to a contrasting big-room deliverance. Most notably, Schulz’ contradting rework manages to maintain the original’s affective affluence with an ascension in the dance reigns.

Robin Schulz releases vividly-diverse 3rd album, ‘Uncovered’

This post was originally published on this site

German producer Robin Schulz is no stranger to the spotlight and continues to thrive by offering some of the best known melodic house music to date. His third official album, Uncovered, represents his extraordinary ability to create emotionally-infused music across all genre lines. The album, released via Atlantic Records, boasts a total of 18-original tracks, ranging from soft symphonic pieces to energetically-charged anthems featuring some of the best names in the business.

unnamed (1)

Some of the most notable tracks include the ever-popular single “OK” with British songwriter James Blunt, which has already accumulated over 230 million streams on Spotify and comfortably secured its spot on the top of the Billboard charts. Its catchy, striking vocals blend beautifully with classical piano sounds that create an emotionally-charged ballad. Another memorable highlight of the album, “Shed A Light”, brings forth an uplifting combination of energetic-pop and house sounds – accompanied by lyrics from Cheat Codes and beats from David Guetta.

“Opus” opens Uncovered on a distinctive note, utilizing Hans Zimmer-esque tones with strong-cinematic themes that catalyze an emotive response before transitioning nicely into a lighter, harmonious “Unforgettable.” “Fools,” a collaboration with Aalias and IRO, presents itself as the LP’s ultimate feel-good piece, showcasing more of Robin Schulz’ typical melodic sound.

With the wide variety of sounds and rhythms encompassed within Uncovered, there’s no denying that Robin Schulz will sustain his title as one of the most celebrated, multi-genre leaders within the music community.

Richard Judge – Kinda Love (Original Mix)

This post was originally published on this site

Singer/producer Richard judge has been proving his worth over the past few years, kicking off his career in collaborating with the widely praised Robin Schulz on “Show Me Love.” That track alone saw 47 million streams on Spotify back in 2015, and he returned earlier this year on “Ruckus” with Tube & Berger, which hit No. 1 on the Beatport deep house charts.

He makes a highly anticipated return to Armada imprint The Bearded Man with “Kinda Love.” Produced, written and sang by the London native himself, the track provides feel-good vibes with catchy vocals, echoing guitar tones and upbeat lead synths that are guaranteed to nourish the soul.

Judge is set to go on tour with Schulz this fall, so we’re sure to see a lot more of the multi-talented artist.
