Each week, New Music Friday sweeps through with torrential force, showering streaming platforms with immeasurable amounts of new tunes. Just like Dancing Astronaut rounds up 25 of the biggest songs of the week for the Hot 25 Spotify playlist each New Music Friday, Lunar Lunes serves as a landing pad for SoundCloud users who want a whole new dose of tunes to kick off the work week.

Autograf preview their forthcoming EP with the release of their new single, “Casual Love,” with The Griswolds, and FANGS debuts on Big Beat Records with a fiery new single, “Money.” Grabbitz ups the intensity of Dog Blood‘s “Turn Off the Lights” in his new flip, and Matroda teams up with Dances With White Girls for “Bang.” Grant returns to Monstercat with “Color,” and Luis da Silva releases a formidable remix of 13’s “Uppercut.” Jarvis‘ new EP, The Bro Code, is out now via Firepower Records, as is um..‘s on Deadbeats, featuring tracks like “what?” Rootkit teams up with Bryan Finlay for “Feel Your Love,” and Dombresky takes a “Simple Hit” in his new single. Chime reveals his take on Dodge & Fuski, PhaseOne, and The Arcturians‘ “Mistakes,” and Dutch producer NWYR unleashes a dreamy new single, “Artificial Intelligence.”

The selection is updated every Lunes (Monday).

PIERCE releases his debut EP, ‘FLESH’PIERCE FLESH

For months, up-and-coming producer PIERCE has teased fans with cryptic tastes of his dark debut EP ‘FLESH.’ After releasing “Death Note” and “Tyrant” to critical acclaim, he has finally unveiled the full seven-track saga that documents the story of his abduction, torture, and eventual escape. A surreal story arc that begins in a dreamy world with “Simulation” quickly devolves into a harrowing tale built on the backs of grisly saws, throbbing bass lines, and total system meltdowns. An absolute assault on the senses, PIERCE has successfully merged the adrenaline rush of bass music with a narrative through line that will put you on the edge of your seat AND out on the dance floor.

No one likes when their Uber driver tries to chat. Least of all bass music producer PIERCE. The young gun takes an interesting approach on his latest production “Tyrant.” Using a sample recorded during a less than friendly Uber trip, the track kicks off with PIERCE’s driver stating that he is “going to go fuck himself, then” after trying to make a bit of small talk. The rest is an assault on the senses, a literal barrage of abrasive basslines before the sound of metal twisting and police sirens leave the listener wondering — what happened to PIERCE?

Stay tuned for the rest of the saga on PIERCE’s forthcoming “FLESH EP.”

Pierce & 2SCOOPS – SPLIT

It seems like a good century ago at this point, but dubstep was at the vanguard of sounds that ushered electronic music into the forefront of the musical landscape. Now that the scene has fractured into innumerable sub genres that, rightfully or not, dubstep has somewhat faded from view.

Pierce and 2SCOOPS, however, have teamed up for thunderous new single that harkens back to the days when dubstep reign supreme. “SPLIT” feels fresh in its deployment of crushing sonic waves and detuned vocals. It’s a testament that any sound can be fresh and modern when placed in the right hands.
