While Drake’s “In My Feelings” has claimed an early title for pop’s song of the summer, the latest from producer and DJ Paul Woolford is set to take that trophy for underground house. Woolford, an artist who has his hands in a variety of electronic sounds as alter egos Bobby Peru and Special Request, struck gold with “Hang Up Your Hangups.” While it premiered earlier this summer with an Annie Mac stamp of approval, the infectiously groovy original, seemingly amazing enough as it was, felt like the pinnacle of the summer’s releases for any fan of deeper material. But the track has gotten a re-up thanks to house’s duo of the moment CamelPhat, and proved us all wrong in their impressive remix.

The Grammy-nominated “Cola” producers prove their talent matches up with their hype with their remix of “Hang Up Your Hangups.” Entrancing synths paint a mesmerizing soundscape that any tech house or progressive fan can appreciate. Its layers prove the versatility of the original and CamelPhat’s understanding of the electronic landscape.
