Underground sound cultivator and LA-based producer, Madeaux, released the second taste of his Club Demons EP, “I WANT YOU.” The track begins with a strong house backbone polished with classic synth-pop melodies shimmering in the wings. The track builds to a confident and weighty bass line that works in tandem with the hefty house arrangement.
The EP is set to be released on A-Trak‘s Fool’s Gold imprint on August 16. Madeaux debuted the news with the release of the title track that features Dances With White Girls—a proper booze-infused and sweat-soaked house heater.
With warehouse-ready hitters, Madeaux’s EP proves to be a journey through devilish audiovisual mayhem, and as the EP creeps closer, it looks like it’s bound to brighten the darkest of dance floors.
Those familiar with LA’s Icon Collective know that its alumni have made serious noise in the world of dance music. Jauz, NGHTMRE, and Slander are just a few of the heavyweights who got their start at Icon. Another more understated notch in their roster is Effin, who recently executed an out-of-the-box remix of the Chris Lake classic, “I Want You.”
Lake is an unequivocal staple in the house music domain, and one of the driving leaders in the genre’s global ascension. But one of the reasons he has found such sweeping success is because his music taps into up-to-the-moment sounds and styles and packages them with more classic, subtle nuance. In his explosive rendition, Effin took those subtleties and put them under his serrated microscope lens.
“I Want You” came out on OWSLA in 2017, and because the Skrillex-headed label features cross-genre categories throughout its prolific catalog, its identity pertains more to an all-encompassing energy from a collective vantage point. Effin harnessed the same energy Lake did for dancefloor cut and morphed it into a heavy-hitting bass tune.

The duo, comprised of Sophie Lindinger and Marco Kleebauer, really hit the feels on their track “I Want You.” Kicking it off with a layered kick-clap rhythm with some added deep bass, the track smoothly progresses through soothing vocals, harmonizing electro-synths and other experimental sounds.

It’s British producer Motti, however, who steals the show with her fabulously crafted ambient piano ensemble, which oozes both refinement and raw emotion.
