Oliver Heldens takes HI-LO alias for a spin on Mike Cervello-assisted single, ‘Impulse’Oliver Heldens Hi Lo Mike Cervello Impulse Single

Oliver Heldens is never one to stay quiet long, with a slew of fresh future house gems already landing having landed in 2018. Among high-profile remixes for names like David Guetta and Calvin Harris, the producer tagged Dada Life for a deliciously crunchy collab as his HI-LO alias. The track was among the most experimental and unpredictable from the house music don in years, and it looks like his alter-alias out to play again on a new joint effort with Mike Cervello titled “Impulse.”

Arriving on his own HELDEEP imprint, the song is instantly and noticeable and techno than Helden’s usual flavor, a mark of his HI-LO project. The backbone of the record is a fizzing, ascending bass line that adds infectious movement to the relentless four-to-the-floor drums. The breakdown is a playfully chaotic mix of detuned synth blips and crackly vocal samples that gives way to one last turbo-charged beat section. Heldens joins Guetta in his inspired return to past underground roots, with Guetta having unveiled his much buzzed about Jack Back moniker this year as well. HI-LO is a markedly messier and grittier sonic space for Heldens, and the range on display is sure keep fans on their toes.

Exclusive: Oliver Heldens pumps out groovy electronics on remix for David Guetta & Anne-Marie’s ‘Don’t Leave Me Alone’Guetta Annemarie OLIVER HELDENS

Oliver Heldens has been reeling in all the right remixes as of late, reworking the classic Sidney Samson track “Riverside,” as well as Calvin Harris‘ chart-topping hit “One Kiss” featuring Dua Lipa. And now, the Dutch producer continues his end-of-summer tear with a remix of David Guetta‘s latest single “Don’t Leave Me Alone” with Anne-Marie.

The release has all the makings of a glorified crowd-pleaser, including a dance-heavy beat under the original’s catchy vocals and dropping into some pounding electronics. It’s easy to picture how the remix would play out live, providing the perfect backbone for some killer graphic visuals and light schemes.

His Heldeep imprint has been a driving force in summer 2018, taking over stages at some of the world’s most renowned festivals that saw Heldens as the headliner. In addition to a jam-packed Ibiza schedule, he’ll continue to move through the extensive tour schedule, hitting festivals such as Ultra Japan and Imagine Music Festival. Heldens will also continue to showcase the Heldeep brand, stopping in NYC for a massive Heldeep at Sea show featuring Black Caviar and more.

HI-LO and Dada Life team up for an entrancing collaboration, ‘Love Vibrations’

This post was originally published on this site

“Love Vibrations,” an enrapturing collaboration by none other than house music’s heavy hitters Oliver Heldens, under the alias of HI-LO, and the enthralling duo, Dada Life, is out now on Heldeep Records.

Undoubtedly, when it comes to these artists, unpredictability dominates the production. Their mastery of deep house vibes contrasts with higher hitting synths makes for an irresistible combination of intense energy and melodic undertones.

“Love Vibrations” features unbridled, oscillating synths complimented by pulsating waves of dark bass progressions that is all tied together by intriguing vocal samples. HI-LO and Dada Life make for an incredible team, with each musician flaunting a different aspect of their artistry by contributing unmatched stylistic details. Although Dada Life has taken a hiatus from producing, their latest work will have listeners up and ready to go for what’s in store from the banana-tastic, champagne showering, beloved duo.

Oliver Heldens as HI-LO teams up with Alok for new single, ‘Alien Technology’

Since then, Heldens has launched a new record label called Heldeep, which is home to his newest single as HI-LO with Alok titled “Alien Technology.” The track has a Latin flair as it opens with guitar and Spanish vocals that lead into a fast-paced psy drop.
