2019 is a big year for the bass-heads, as Zeds Dead is in full swing since teaming up with Delta Heavy on “Lift You Up.” The drum ‘n’ bass collaboration was followed by reworks of the Billie Eilish hit “bury a friend” and Diplo‘s “Close To Me,” as well as original collaborations with Dion Timmer and, more recently, DROELOE on “Stars Tonight.” However, fans learned over the past few months that these releases are leading towards something bigger on the horizon.

In May, the Toronto-born duo took to Twitter to announce a full collaborative project, confirming that “Rescue” featuring Dion Timmer and Delaney Jane would be included.

Rescue is off an upcoming project we’re putting out where we collaborate with a lot of our friends and artists that we play in our sets. The project kind of embodies the type of feel we’re trying to create with our label Deadbeats,” they wrote.

As label heads, they’ve been commended for building a unique roster of creatives from all over the electronic and bass music spectrum, including 1788-L, BLU J, Grandtheft, and more. With the synergistic work that’s come out of their Deadbeats imprint of late, there’s a lot to look forward to in the upcoming album. The boys took to Twitter to confirm a 10-track remix package for “Lift You Up” will precede the project.

The guys are clearly hard at work, continuing to tour the globe well into Fall 2019. Fans can catch performances at Tomorrowland July 19, HQ2 Beachclub in Atlantic City July 28, Veld Music Festival in their hometown come August, with more dates to come.

Zeds Dead join forces with Dion Timmer on fiery new single ‘Rescue’Zeds Dead

After releasing a slew of remixes including a rework of Billie Eilish‘s “bury a friend” and Diplo‘s “Close to MeZeds Dead finally drop their second single of the year “Rescue,” preceded by the duo’s Delta Heavy-assisted track “Lift You Up.” Joining the production capabilities of two dominating bass acts— veteran dubstep producers Zeds Dead with the ripe, but explosive talent of Netherlands-based Dion Timmer—”Rescue” embodies the complements of old and new talent lending a hand to each other. With Delaney Jane providing the track’s vocals, the collaboration between the Deadbeats label heads and the Monstercat power player prove to be the latest Zeds Dead heater fit for the live stage.

“Rescue” begins with a plucky guitar riff and beating drums that almost echo the structure of an alt-rock song before descending into a wobbly bass-driven soundscape. Jane’s breathy vocals sing “It’s only you coming to my rescue” inter-weaved into a thumping drop, laced with high and low frequencies that make for a chaotic rush. Zeds Dead and Timmer have given the all-familiar dubstep anthem a refreshing makeover in their collaborative efforts on “Rescue.”

Delaney Jane – HOWL

Delaney Jane‘s name has popped up all across the dance music spectrum in recent years. The Canadian singer has been featured on tracks by the likes of Tiësto, Adventure Club, REZZ, and many more. She’s ending 2017 on a high note with a track of her own, “HOWL,” produced by Shaun Frank.

“HOWL” is centered on the singer’s emotive vocals over a simple mellow dance beat. In “HOWL” and its accompanying music video, Delaney Jane showcases both her wild side — calling for her listeners to howl at the moon — while also showing her sensitive side, describing the feeling of longing when being separated from a loved one.

The track is the debut release from Delaney Jane’s upcoming solo EP.
