Each week, New Music Friday sweeps through with torrential force, showering streaming platforms with immeasurable amounts of new tunes. Just like Dancing Astronaut rounds up 25 of the biggest songs of the week for the Hot 25 Spotify playlist each New Music Friday, Lunar Lunes serves as a landing pad for SoundCloud users who want a whole new dose of tunes to kick off the work week.

It’s been 18 years since the release of ATC’s classic “Around the World (La La La),” but R3HAB has revived the seminal track with a rework of his own. Notaker‘s new EP, PATH.FINDER, makes its full debut on Monstercat on April 8, featuring tracks like a VIP mix of “Into The Light.” DROELOE return to San Holo‘s bitbird with a new original, “Snow Shovels,” and Tiësto teams up with SWACQ for “Party Time.” Figure and Whiskey Pete join forces on bass-heavy “Exterminate,” and DEVAULT takes a dark approach with “RUNWAY.” Syn Cole‘s crafted a remix of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike‘s “Selfish,” and Bear Grillz taps vocalist Micah Martin for “Stay.” Dream team MOTi and Icona Pop have created “Sink Deeper,” and KAAZE and Aloma Steele flaunt their city pride with “My City.” Afrojack, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano have put their own spin on Jewelz & Sparks‘ “Bring It Back,” and DJ Sliink brings a Jersey club bounce to “Murda On My Mind.” Lost Frequencies throws it back with a remix of Estelle’s “American Boy,” and Sam Feldt takes on Rita Ora‘s “Only Want You.”

Lifelong musician Au5 has thrilled fans for years with his unique, complex brand of melodic dubstep and surrounding genres. Fans can always count on the meticulous producer to create songs with flawless sound design, and his Monstercat latest, “Eden,” is no exception.

He crafts an ethereal introduction initially, launching longtime collaborator Danyka Nadeau‘s vocals for added emotion. Her voice soars in the bridge, and Au5 steadily builds anticipation with crescendoing percussion. The drop hits in fine style, favoring heavenly melodies over thumping bass or gnarly wubs. “Eden” is packed with the same blissful, goosebump-inducing qualities that endeared listeners to his music in the beginning, creating feelings of nostalgia for all who listen.

He also recently uploaded his downtempo set from The Ogden in Denver, for those seeking a diverse hour of ambient production.

It’s most important day of the week: New Music Friday. With the overwhelming amount of tunes hitting the airwaves today, Dancing Astronaut has you covered with the latest edition of The Hot 25.

Gesaffelstein and Pharrell Williams top this week’s Hot 25 with their new collaboration, “Blast Off.” Audien layers on the nostalgia with a gorgeous remix of Calvin Harris and Rag’n’Bone Man, “Giant.” Above & Beyond and Armin van Buuren‘s mega-collab, “Show Me Love,” has finally hit the Armada airwaves, and Midnight Kids unveil a melody-packed remix of Gryffin‘s “Bye Bye.” Yellow Claw follow up their 2018 LP, New Blood, with a new single, “Give It To Me,” with Nonsens, and KSHMR joins forces with Krewella and Yves V for “No Regrets.” TOKiMONSTA releases a mellow new single with Ambré, “Strange Froot,” and W&W bring hardcore back with “The Light.” Sullivan King thanks fans for raging with a metal and dubstep-infused cover of Swedish House Mafia‘s iconic “Save The World,” and Fedde Le Grand puts his own spin on Loud Luxury‘s “Love No More.” 3LAU and Justin Caruso tap vocalist Iselin for a sugar-sweet new single, “Better With You,” and Varien covers Bring Me The Horizon’s “Can You Feel My Heart” with Andrew Zink. Fox Stevenson and Feint link on a new remix of Fox’s own “Out My Head,” and Steff da Campo reworks Galantis and OneRepublic‘s “Bones.”

As each week brings a succession of new music from some of electronic music’s biggest artists, here’s a selection of tracks that shouldn’t be missed this NMF.

Dexter’s Beat Laboratory Vol. 29

Dexter’s Beat Laboratory is a weekly collection of songs from DA music editor and staff writer Robyn Dexter. With a taste that can only be described as eclectic — to say nothing of a name that lends itself to punnery — DA is happy to present a selection of tracks personally curated by Dexter for your listening pleasure.

What’s more insane than a Black Tiger Sex Machine and Sullivan King collaboration? The answer: not much. The Canadian trio have teamed up with the LA metal powerhouse for the aptly named “Madness.” With King’s heavy vocals and top-notch production from both parties, “Madness” fulfills the needs of both bass and metalheads.

Castor Troy returns with a vivacious bass-packed single, “You Never Know.” Sinister vocals in the introduction allude to the dark vibe the producer casts over this production, as he leads up to a heavy, trap-influenced chorus of grinding synths and rigorous bass. In this song, Castor Troy has created a captivating hybrid of hip-hop, dubstep, and trap — showing just how far the bass will go.

Houston producer KLO has put a gorgeous spin on Astrid S’s “Atic.” She’s concocted an infectious rework of the pop track, luring the listener in with an enticing build and a chorus jam-packed with soaring synths. With a subtle trap beat, KLO’s take on “Atic” is a refreshing new interpretation of the track.

Killabyte has teamed up with powerhouse songstress Danyka Nadeau for a beautifully emotive original, “Wicked Ways.” Nadeau leads the listener into the song with a delicate, vocal-centered introduction as Killabyte slowly adds in the instrumentals. By the time they reach the chorus, the song has gathered momentum, letting a cheery, synth-filled melody take center stage. “Wicked Ways” is an elegant amalgamation of the skills of two visibly talented musicians.

For his remix of Rhodz’s “Rain Machine,” Becko has crafted an adventurous soundscape. He takes the listener on a journey through the song’s peaks and valleys, sprinkling in horns, piano breaks, chopped vocals and everything in between. Though it’s a step in a different direction from his rock/punk-inspired Reborn EP from September, this take on “Rain Machine” shows just how multi-faceted the Italian producer is.
