Elephante talks about his vocal debut, releases full remix package for ‘The In Between’ElephanteStudioShootSamples 0006 RT

Elephante has officially kicked off his Glass Mansion Estate Tour after the long-awaited release of his full Glass Mansion EP. While “The In Between” featuring vocals by Anjulie has been the hit single of the compilation, fans also got to see a new side of the producer with title track “Glass Mansion,” where he sings the vocals on the release. The LA-based producer is just a few stops into the tour, and in addition to dropping the full remix package for “The In Between,” he has decided to show fans another dimension to his performance abilities. At Irving Plaza in New York City, he sang in front of a sold out crowd, showcasing his versatility as a performer. View a video of it here.

The producer spoke with Dancing Astronaut on his music career and how he has evolved into a performing vocalist, saying “I started my music career as a singer-songwriter, so I’ve always wanted to sing on my tracks, but I only wanted to do it if my voice fit perfectly for the song, and not just sing for the sake of it. ‘Glass Mansion’ was when the stars finally aligned. It’s such a personal song, and it pulled together all of the threads of my EP, so I knew it was the one.” He continues, “Singing it live was always a dream. It knew it could be a really special moment to cap off the Estate show, just like it does on the EP. Plus, it gets me one step closer to becoming John Mayer, who really is the only reason to do anything, isn’t it?”

In addition to singing live, fans can also see ZAXX as an opener during some of his tour stops. The up-and-comer put out an official remix of “The In Between,” adding additional synth layers framing Anjulie’s vocals. The euphoric chords are an interesting addition, and certainly will play well in his opening sets. Codeko‘s previously released rendition of the track and Elephante’s own revamped take on the release round out the remix package.

Codeko partners with JUUL for newest release, ‘Woke Up’Codeko Press Shot

Codeko has quickly been gaining momentum in dance music all while studying physical sciences at Cambridge University. The England native has mastered high profile remixes, recently putting his own spin on Elephante‘s “The In Between.” Now he is onto putting out his own original releases, and his latest addition to this growing collection of original works is “Woke Up” featuring Xuitcasecity.

The track features the producer’s own vocals, and has catchy future bass drops that make this track equally suited for set lists as it is for radio play. He spoke on how he came up with the idea for the track, calling it his “favorite release to date.”

“I came up with the idea for ‘Woke Up’ a few months ago just before I graduated from university, and actually wrote/produced & sung it all myself. Implementing a hip-hop verse into a dance track convincingly seems rare at the moment, and I am really excited about how the verse slots in & how well the record retains it’s electronic roots. Its my favourite track I’ve made to date.” -Codeko

The artist also partnered with JUUL for the release, announcing a contest where fans can win a free year of JUUL if fans save the track on Spotify. The winner will receive a JUUL starter kit and 40 JUUL pods.

Codeko flips on Elephante’s ‘The In Between’The In Between Codeko Remi

Codeko has had a big year, thanks to hit remixes and a single featuring Austin Mahone that have both yielded extensive radio exposure for the up-and-comer. His spin on Marshmello‘s “Silence” peaked at No. 13 on Billboard’s Hot Dance chart, and now the British producer is back with another potential hit remix with his take on Elephante‘s “The In Between,” featuring Anjulie.

Codeko’s reimagining still withholds the impassioned nature of the original, but infuses intense future bass notes with bouncy synth accents into the drop. Anjulie‘s vocals still serve as a focal point to the release, but the intricate additions to the track transform it into a more live-performance-friendly piece. Elephante will be embarking upon a 40-stop fall tour to celebrate his full Glass Mansion album release, and fans looking to see him perform the track live can check out tickets and dates here.
